I feel that Cameron’s point of view is a good one. I do think its ok to take from the inspiration that a particular artist used for their work, but i do not think its ok to copy the end result of their work. Find the inspiration that the artist used on their piece and use it to drive your work. Apply it to your own style and the outcome will be just as unique as the piece you used the inspiration from.

5 ideas for my site
February 11, 2008 by nathan58schmidthttp://www.geoffreyrousselotdesign.com/
I like this site made for designer Geoffrey Rousselot. particularly because of the main picture that is placed at the top of the page, as you navigate through the site the pic remains. I think I would make the picture change as you navigate. I also like how the pictures are displayed in the gallery page. All the pics are tiled on the page and each one opens in a larger frame.
This page for the design firm PTY LTD has a nice way of showing off their work. I would like to try to incorperate something like thiss into my page. The down side about this page is you can not navigate through it. I would like to be able to click on the main picture and find more information about the company.
http://www.moonrisedesign.com/html/index.htm
This web page for Moonrise Design is nice and clean. I like the links at the top of the page, the way they pop out at you as you roll over them is visually pleasing. In the work page however it is hard to understand how to view each individual piece of work. A mix of small empty boxes is all their is to identify each piece.

This page is a prime example of a designer that gets straight to the point, to show of their work. I think this concept is a good one because the site so simplee to navigate. I would like to use an aspect of this concept on my page , but I would like to seperate my work into catagories instead of having them mixed together.
http://www.giantpeachdesign.com/services.php
This site for Giant Peach Design is appealing to me because of the nice contrast in colors. I like the second half of the page the layout and colors. Its hard tell the page is unified at first because it looks like their is an add getting in the way. But its actually a unique selling point for the company. I would like to use this technique but display it in different way.

Coment on A Design Process Revealed
January 24, 2008 by nathan58schmidtI to use a similar process while creating my designs. I like to first find as much information as possible about the project at hand. Then I research the information that I think is the most important. Then I will see how much information will be in the project. After that I will make thubnails of the layout. Then make comps, revisions, and then the final piece. This is just a quick run through of my process of design witch closely relates to Bowmans process.
